Home Groups are a great opportunity to meet up, chat and discuss matters of faith during the week. There’ll be the chance to explore the Bible further and to help each other figure out what it means to live as a Christian in the light of these passages.
You don’t have to sign up for the long term and nobody will be put on the spot, but we hope these will become really valuable moments, helping us all grow as disciples of Jesus and in fellowship with one another. Please do consider coming along if you’d like to get into things a bit more than just on Sundays – even if it sounds like something completely new to you!
Currently we have three Book Groups meeting regularly:
Monday afternoons 2:00 - 3:30pm Led by Allen Standeven (01457 857331) at Peter and Jean Hey's home, email readerallen@ (all our email addresses* end with mottramparish.org.uk) or use his contact form.
Tuesday evenings 8:00 - 9:30pm Led by James Halstead (01457 762268) at the Vicarage, email vicar@ (all our email addresses* end with mottramparish.org.uk) or use his contact form.
Wednesday evenings 8:00 - 9:30pm Led by John Walker (01457 763292 ) at John and Joan Walker's home, email readerjohn@ (all our email addresses* end with mottramparish.org.uk) or use his contact form.
All three groups are looking 'Into The Bible', following a book called 'God's Big Picture'. We read a chapter at home, then come together to discuss what we've found.
We're also running a seminar series called 'Digging In', looking at individual books of the Bible in more depth:
9th February - Digging in to Genesis part 1
All at the Magdalene Centre, starting 7.30pm
