Music

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!  Psalm 95:1-2

St Michael’s Choir

Mottram Parish Church has a choral tradition stretching back over 250 years and is one of a few in Tameside to have an active choir leading our worship each Sunday. The choir’s repertoire covers various styles of music, including hymns and anthems. The choir leads music at our 10:30am services on Sunday mornings and Choral Evensong at 4:00pm on the first Sunday in the month.

The choir are always interested in welcoming new members who enjoy singing and can accommodate all ages from 8 to 80! You do not have to be able to read music or have any previous experience.  If you think this might be something you would enjoy being part of, come and meet the choir at one of our rehearsals, Friday evenings at 7:30pm in the church. Alternatively speak to any choir member or use our contact form.
