‘Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practise hospitality.’
Romans 12:13

We’re delighted to be launching our new ‘Meals and Wheels’ ministry!

We all experience times in our lives when cooking for ourselves or our families can feel like one thing too much - at times of bereavement or ill health, when we’re caring for ill relatives, or facing a personal or family crisis.  Our team of volunteer cooks will be keeping our freezer well stocked with a selection of home cooked, ready-made meals, available for delivery to those in need.  If you know of someone, or perhaps a family, who would benefit from having a home cooked meal delivered, please contact one of our Pastoral Team (see here) or by email: pastoral@ (all our email addresses* end with

Our volunteer drivers will be helping those having difficulty with transport by providing lifts to hospital, GP or dental appointments, as well as to church and parish events.  Sometimes it can be difficult to ask for a lift or it might make us feel like we’re being a burden to others.  By having an organised scheme in place, we are praying that we will be able to reach and assist some of the more isolated or lonely folk in our parish, and that those we know well might find it a little easier to ask!  If you are in need of transport, or know of a friend or neighbour in need, please contact our Wheels Coordinator Janette Baxter on 01457 762574.

Please pray that this new ministry will serve a real need and also be a very practical and tangible way in which we can share and show God’s love to each other, both within our church family and reaching out to the wider community.
