Christmas Services 2021

Sunday 5th December10:30am Worship for All & Toy Service supporting the Tameside Toy Appeal, led by our youth group Under Construction. You can donate new and unwrapped gifts for babies to 18 year olds, or gift vouchers. Please - no second hand or soft toys

Sunday 12th December - 10:30am Worship for All with Nativity.
6:00pm Remembering our Loved Ones at Christmas, a service of reflection in memory of those we have lost.

Sunday 19th December - 10:30am Worship for All with Communion & Prayers for Healing and Holiness.
6.30pm 9 Lessons and Carols, a service of carols and Bible readings by candlelight.

Friday 24th December Christmas Eve - 4.00pm Christingle Service, a great Christmas Service for Families and Children with lots of candles! Collection in aid of the Children's Society. Update: We announced earlier that our Christingle service on Christmas Eve, would be by booking only, to ensure much safer distancing, after the news of the Omicron Covid variant. The 4pm service is now booked up, so we are now taking bookings only for an earlier service at 12pm. In order to keep everyone as safe as we can, we ask everyone who wishes to attend to book their seat by contacting Kate Best on 01457 857248 (Monday to Thursday before 9pm only) - or preferably via the church website Please book as soon as you can, so that we can provide Christingles and staff for these services as needed.

11.15pm Midnight Communion, starting just before Midnight, ready to celebrate the First Communion of Christmas. A Christmas Celebration with Candles and Carols.

Saturday 25th December Christmas Day - 10.30am Christmas Worship for All with Communion at the Magdelene Centre, Broadbottom.

Sunday 26th December Boxing Day - 10:30am Worship for All.


Last Year's Worship included our Carols and Christmas Stories service which was a creative mix of Nativity and Nine Lessons and Carols, crafted by Rev Cait and the team - and with real live music by the choir!

Our Living Advent Calendar Windows: What better way to work out, than walking around Mottram Parish looking out for the specially decorated windows of our Living Advent Calendar. Here's number 1, at the vicarage for the first day of Advent - 1st December. It's at the vicarage, and features Mary and the Angel.
